What is Temporary Employee?

 

‘Temporary Employee’ refers to those employees who are employed for a short period of time. They are commonly referred to as ‘temps’ and they are mostly employed for completing a certain project in the company.

 

Temps might be hired in cases where the company doesn’t require a full-time employee as the position might last only until the fulfilment of the current project. Similarly, they do not enjoy the monetary benefits offered by a full-time position.

 

Some creative fields such as photography, graphic design, 3D animation, etc. would have individuals who are satisfied with the temporary employment as it provides a better work-life balance.
