What is Well-being?

 

‘Well-being’ refers to the overall physical and mental state of a person, a group of individuals or an organization. It is a comprehensive term that covers a lot of ground related to one’s physical and mental health.

 

Employee well-being is one of the top priorities of the HR department of any company. Apart from the fact that it improves an employee’s overall job satisfaction, it also leads to a more productive workforce.

 

The HR department often implements various employee well-being programs such as private health insurance, developing physical exercise strategies and hygienic practices, implementing eye care exercises, providing free gym memberships, etc.
