What is Contract for Service ?

  
A ‘Contract for Service’ is a legal contract between an individual and the company that he works for. It differs from the traditional contract of service in the sense that, in the case of the latter, the employee is dedicating themselves to the company.
 
However, under the ‘contract for service’, the employee is required to complete a finite amount of work under a stipulated amount of time for which he or she would be paid as prescribed by the contract.
 
Another major difference is the fact that the employees who are under the ‘contract for service’ are not entitled to all the benefits enjoyed by a full-time worker.
