Narcissistic Leadership

What is Narcissistic Leadership?

‘Narcissistic Leadership’ refers to a kind of leadership wherein the leader is only concerned with their own goals and social standing as well as being self-absorbed even in cases where it might be at the expense of others.

In general, it is toxic for an organization to have narcissistic leadership as these leaders would put their own interests before the interests of the company as a whole. This is amplified if these kinds of leaders occupy senior positions in the company.

A narcissistic leader would also surround themselves with like-minded individuals and this proves severely detrimental to the organization’s success. Hence, HRs are always concerned about such individuals, and employees who raise their voices against such individuals are encouraged to do so.
