Cloud Computing

What is Cloud Computing ?

‘Cloud Computing’ refers to the layer of abstraction which helps the end-user remain hidden from the complicated IT infrastructure required to provide cloud computing services.

Cloud computing services are provided online wherein, the end-user simply uses the technology by logging into their account via an internet browser. They wouldn’t be bothered with the management of the same.

This kind of abstraction helps in making the technology more accessible while also keeping the costs down. Generally, cloud computing services are provided via the Software as a Service (SaaS) model with a pay-as-you-use payment mode.

Cloud computing relies on the fact that multiple servers distributed over a wide area will be able to provide their computing services to the end-user, who might be logging in from a different part of the world altogether. It also helps in achieving lower costs due to economies of scale.
