Management Bandwidth

What is Management Bandwidth?

‘Management Bandwidth’ refers to the metaphorical limited bandwidth that the managers and senior management in a company possess. This limited bandwidth refers to the finite time and resources that they have to manage the company effectively.

Since the senior management have more decision making powers, they have a significant impact on the overall business of the company than the employees. However, as their working hours are also the same as other employees, they need to allocate their time efficiently.

The management of this time as well as other resources such as allocation of team members for a particular project or deciding the purchase of new hardware or software for the company is what makes a manager effective.
