What is ISO 9004?

 

‘ISO 9004’ refers to the standards set by the International Organization for Standardization for helping the companies achieve success by quality management. The current version of ISO 9004 is ISO 9004:2018 and it deals with quality management and quality assurance.

 

It serves as a guide for the organizations wishing to attain continuous success by applying the principles of quality management to ensure that their customers and employees remain satisfied.

 

Similar to the ISO 9001, this standard can be applied by any company irrespective of its size and the industry it is established under. As it is also a comprehensive list of quality recommendations, it can be used by all kinds of organizations to improve their overall quality.
