The ‘Generation X’ is generally considered as the group of people who came after the ‘Baby Boomers’ and is followed by the ‘Millenials’. This generation consists of individuals born between the early 1960s to the early 1980s.

Popular Hungarian photographer Robert Capa coined and popularized the term ‘Generation X’ as it was the title of his photo essay about young adults who grew up immediately after World War II.

Generation X or ‘Gen X’ has the key characteristic of being brought up at a time where there was almost negligible adult supervision, which resulted in them developing strong musical tastes, as well as being go-getters and achievers.
