What is Flexible Work Arrangements?

 

‘Flexible Work Arrangements’ refers to the unorthodox arrangements a company makes with its employee to take into consideration their personal life allowing for flexibility of time or place of work. Hence, it mostly involves some form of working from home too.

 

Multiple countries have specific laws related to flexible working hours under specific circumstances. For example, in the UK, it is mandatory by law that the company should provide flexible working arrangements, if an employee requests for the same, in cases where they have a child under 6 years of age or a disabled child under the age of 18.

 

There are various advantages with these kinds of arrangements. It helps the employee with maintaining a better work-life balance, taking lesser leaves, reduced stress levels, improved motivation, etc.
