Configurability

What is Configurability?

‘Configurability’ refers to the fact of being able to configure or customize as per one’s will. Concerning HR software, configurability is a major factor since the one size fits all solutions of yesteryears have been replaced by modern customizable solutions.

No two companies would have the same administration and internal structure. In such a scenario, one cannot assume that software built by keeping a company in mind will work with another company. On the other hand, developing new software from scratch for every individual company would be time intensive and pricey.

This is where the configurability factor comes in. There are some modules of the HR system which will remain more or less the same throughout every company. Hence, those modules are kept constant with the minor differences being able to be customized as and when the software is deployed initially.
