Discrimination

What is Discrimination?

‘Discrimination’ refers to the act of acting against an individual or a group of individuals based on unfounded prejudices. Concerning a workplace, discrimination usually happens with respect to promotions, workload, bonuses, etc.

On the other hand, some employees might also discriminate against others based on their race, disabilities, gender, or even their sexual orientation! The victims, in this case, suffer from anxiety and demotivation due to the constant abuse from the perpetrators of the discrimination.

Hence, legal regulations have come into play to circumvent this issue and make sure that every employee is treated solely based on merit alone. Strict laws are in place all over the world against discrimination of any kind in the workplace.
