Direct Marketing

What is Direct Marketing?

‘Direct Marketing’ refers to the marketing concept of targeting the end-user directly instead of the middle person. It is used by marketers to promote individual products directly to the end user.

Traditionally, direct marketing happened via flyers, telephone calls, catalogs, etc. Later on, television and radio were used to connect with the masses with advertisements being played along with the programs. With the advent of the digital age, the ads have transformed into new forms of posts and images and GIFs which are displayed along with the website content while browsing a webpage.

Direct marketing helps in connecting the brand with the end-user and if done tastefully, makes a lasting impact on the consumer. Hence direct marketing plays a vital role in the success of a product.
