Anti-nepotism Policy

What is Anti-nepotism Policy ?

The ‘Anti-nepotism Policy’ is the set of rules that ensure that employees can’t work with, or have any influence over the hiring, remuneration or promotion of any close relatives.

Companies implement anti-nepotism policies to counter favouritism due to family relations. Other employees would be demotivated due to nepotism since it clearly goes against the fundamental right of treating every employee solely on merit.

Advanced anti-nepotism policies even mention the relations that are not welcome in the organisation and the reasons for prohibiting those relations in the workplace.

Having an anti-nepotism policy will also avoid multiple kinds of familial arguments which might eventually get into the workplace and decrease the productivity of the concerned employees.
