What is Video Interview?

 

‘Video Interview’ refers to the interviews conducted with video based applications as the medium since the interviewer and the interviewee would be located in different physical locations.

 

There are 2 different kinds of video interviewing prevalent in the industry today. The first kind is where both the interviewer and the candidate are online and are conversing realtime using the video conferencing tool. The second type of video interview is where the interviewer records or emails the queries and the candidate has to answer it by recording the answers on video.

 

Video interviews are growing in popularity since it removes many of the constraints of the traditional interviews such as physical distance, time spent on transportation, fixing a venue for the interview, etc.
