Social Recruitment

What is Social Recruitment ?

‘Social Recruitment’ refers to the process of recruiting candidates using social media platforms. There are two different approaches that companies might take for social recruitment. The first approach is to spread the news that there is a vacancy via the social media platforms. The second approach deals with manually searching for prospective employees via these platforms.

Critics often blame social recruitment for the hiring of poor quality candidates since social media is a common public platform where the individuals can post anything and can seem like someone else.

With the advent of artificial intelligence, companies are employing AI algorithms to screen potential candidates by searching the social media profiles for required patterns in order to identify the best candidates for the job.
