Apprenticeship

What is Apprenticeship?

‘Apprenticeship’ is a training program wherein, a trainee gets to work with skilled workers in his or her chosen field for a stipulated period while also getting paid for his or her work.

While anybody willing to learn new skills can become an apprentice, it is generally preferred by youngsters in college who wish to get hands-on experience before beginning their career in their chosen field.

However, apprenticeship differs from traditional training since the apprentice receives pay while undergoing the apprenticeship.

Another important fact to consider is that traditionally, apprenticeship has been associated with blue-collar jobs while internship has been related with white-collar jobs.
