What is Millennials ?
‘Millennials’ is the generation cohort that came after the ‘Generation X’ and is followed by the ‘Generation Z’. This generation consists of individuals born between the early 1980s to the early 2000s.
They are also called ‘Generation Y’ as they were born between Generation X and Generation Z. Authors William Strauss and Neil Howe coined the term ‘millennial’ in the year 1987.
The millenials are characterized by heavy digital footprint due to the advancements in technology and the internet. They also tend to be less religious than the previous generation. They are also less likely to have kids as their childhood was spent in such a time when the fertility rates were falling.
