What is Business Ethics ?
‘Business Ethics’ refers to the practice of dealing with the ethics of business, which include the moral principles as well as the ethical dilemmas which are inherent for the smooth functioning of an organization.
It is related to the business philosophies of the company, which is inherently a part of the social and economic responsibilities of the organization. Hence, the business ethics of major organizations are studied and it is considered one of the best practices to keep the daily functioning of the company transparent.
During the industrial revolution and the ongoing decades, business ethics came to the forefront and it was a major component of businesses in the 1980s and 1990s. The concept was developed further and it came to be known as business ethics. Soon, regulatory bodies came into existence to make sure that all companies adhere to ethical business practices.
