What is Performance Planning?

‘Performance Planning’ refers to the planning of performance management that is concerned with developing a plan for achieving a specific level of performance. Usually, the planning would even predict the expected results within the given time frame.

Performance planning is conducted by developing a plan which needs to be achieved within a specific time period and implementing that plan to achieve the targets. Later on, after the specified time period, one can compare the targets with the achieved ones and understand the improvement in the performance of the company.

The main advantage of performance planning is that it can be applied either at an individual level to improve the performance of an employee or it can be used to develop the performance level of the organization by implementing organizational-level performance planning.
