Management Styles

What are Management Styles?

‘Management Styles’ refer to the way the managers handle and manage the employees working under them by showcasing their leadership skills and handling sensitive situations amicably.

As we possess multiple personalities as human beings, the management styles also reflect the same. There are autocratic managers who try to manage their employees like a dictator by taking no input from them. On the other hand, there are permissive or democratic managers who allow their staff to provide input in the decision-making process.

There is another long-term management style known as ‘management by walking around’ (MBWA), which involves the manager walking around the office to gather information from the staff members and gain valuable feedback and input. In contrast, is the newer chaotic management style that delegates important decisions to the team members leading to a flat organization with respect to authority.
