Code of Practice

What is Code of Practice?

A ‘Code of Practice’ is the set of guidelines that provide practical steps to adhere to the legal obligations. It is generally used in those sectors where health and safety are more significant than others.

Codes of Practice are developed in consideration of the laws and regulations of the land. Although it does not replace the Health and Safety regulations, it has an important place in helping the company achieve its safety standards.

A workplace safety inspector might even periodically check and verify whether the practices are followed throughout the company and even make sure that it is updated with changing time and technology. They are even admissible in the court of law as evidence and hence the significance of the code of practices cannot be overstated.
