Assessment Centre

What is Assessment Centre?

An ‘Assessment Centre’ is a location where any kind of assessment takes place. Concerning HR, an ‘assessment centre’ would be a place to assess the candidates who are applying for a vacant position.

An assessment centre might be required in cases where the assessment itself is intensive or required the candidates to perform multiple kinds of activities. The activities might range from written tests to group exercises. Even role-plays are included in the case of senior management positions which assess your leadership skills when faced with specific circumstances.

While most assessment centres are provided by the companies themselves, some agencies specialize in providing such centres for conducting said tests.
